"I engaged TWC International on an assignment to seek an executive as Vice President of Poker to be a critical member of the senior management team. It was an unique and newly-created role as , at the time , online poker was the critical engine of growth for our company and required a serious , experienced leader. It was a formidable challenge. I did not want just an accomplished and knowledgeable poker player alone. I did not want an executive leader with a knowledge of poker. I wanted both - coupled with a solid executive as visionary and team player.

Richard led the search personally. He was fully available and kept me informed throughout the search. It was truly a global search. After a wide ranging search , including interviews with serious and experienced candidates from Europe, Scandinavia and Russia , the successful candidate was an American CPA who qualified with a Big Four accounting firm in the U.S. , was a CFO at the time and who himself had played over 500,000 hands of poker online and who had even been involved in the establishment of an online poker start-up. In other words, we found the " needle in the haystack."

The candidate moved to Toronto from the US and he turned out to be an excellent executive , leader and contributor to our growth, well respected among our global blue chip clients. Our market capitalization increased from $90 million to over $400 million over a 5 year period , much of which was attributable to the growth in our poker revenue under his leadership.
